Info & getting there — TENSION Winter Festival 2026

The main floor with the big stage plus two smaller floors. Set times to follow.

Messehalle is at Messeplatz, right at the Messeplatz tram stop, a few minutes from Basel SBB and Basel Badischer Bahnhof. There is parking in the Messe car park, but we recommend public transport or bike.

Admission from 18, only with an ID card or passport, in the original. Bags up to A4, with a bag and body check at the entrance. Entry is one-way.

Your own food and drinks (water included), glass of any kind, animals, illegal drugs or substances, umbrellas, sprays and the like, pyrotechnics and weapons of any kind, and professional audio, video or photography equipment.

There is no cloakroom, but there are lockers in the hall. Book your locker online here (opens in a new tab).

Payment is cashless, with all major credit cards, Twint, Apple Pay and Google Pay. With cash, buy a payment card at the info desk. You can reclaim remaining credit after the festival via Cashless Return.
